Monkey pox spreads to Rivers as 3 residents suffer attack

From Bayelsa, the monkey pox disease has
spread to Rivers state - Currently, three people have been infected and are currently in the hospital - The health commissioner in the state, Professor Princewill Chike, confirmed the incidents The government of Rivers has confirmed that the state has recorded three cases of the monkey pox disease, an outbreak that began in Bayelsa recently. The cases were reportedly recorded in Port Harcourt, the capital of the state.  Leadership reports that the state’s health commissioner, Professor Princewill Chike, announced the incidents as he spoke with journalists on Friday, October 6. Chike said the three cases were discovered late Thursday, October 5, at Rumuolumeni, Eneka and Psychiatric Road area of the city. According to the commissioner, the three victims are currently receiving treatment at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH)
